Understanding Tri-norinyl Periods: Skipping or Delaying Your Period

I am taking Tri-norinyl - 28 birth control pills.
The pills are blue and green and then last week is orange when I get my period. I am confused...is there a way that I can skip or delay my period? like by not taking the orange pills when I am on vacation? or will this screw me up?

The pills have 21 "active" pills and 7 "placebo" pills (the last seven pills). If you finish pill #21 and then start a new pack the very next day without taking the last 7 pills of the old pack, you will delay your period until you decide to stop taking the pills. When you stop, you will start to bleed again. It will not cause any harm.
