Dear Sir/ Madame,

i am a female 31 years old, no childern yet. i had my last period on Ausgust 25th 2005 and it lasted 8 days (that is my usual), the cycle of my period is 28 days.

i had sex (full intercourse) on September 5th, he came inside me and he stays like 20 min inside me.  (i miss calculated the safe period).  

i reaslied the mistake in calculation about after 19 hours of the intercourse. MEANING, I DID NOT TAKE THE PILLS UNTIL 19 HOURS LATER, WHEN I CHECKED MY CALANDER. PLEASE ADVISE

i was advised by a local dr over the phone to take contraceptive pills.
i took immediately 2 pills, then following 12 hours i took another 2 pills, then 1 pill every 24 hours.

what are the chances of stopping pregnancy.  is the way above effective.

please reply as soon as you can.  i wil be very grateful if you reply quicly.  i really need advise
Answer -
If your last period started on August 25, you probably ovulated on September 7 and could have conceived if you had sex on September 6,7,8, or 9. You did the correct thing by taking the "morning after" emergency contraception. However, all you had to do was take two pills immediately and two pills 12 hours later. You did not need to take any more pills. If you get your period in two weeks, don't worry. If you do not get your period in two weeks, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure.

Answer
Emergency contraception must be taken within 72 hours of the sexual intercourse. You apparently did  take the morning after pills within the 72 hours period. As I said before, see if you get your period at the end of the month. If not, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure.
