Pink Vaginal Discharge: Causes, Pregnancy & When to Worry
QuestionI am 21 years old and i am currently trying to have my first child. We have only been trying for 2 months now. This month I got my period on July 19th and it ended on the 24th. Today is the 25th and i have pinkish discharge. I thought i was getting my period again, but this isn't it. Could this be a problem or could it keep me from getting pregnant?
AnswerIf you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14. YOu can only become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13,14, 15, or 16. If your last period started on July 19, you would not ovulate until August 1 and could become pregnant if you have sex on September 31,August 1,2, or 4. Unless the pinkish discharge gets heavier, it is most likely insignificant. Spotting or pinkish discharge will not prevent you from becomming pregnant. If you do not conceive within the next 12 months, consult your doctor. Until then, try concentrating intercourse on the days I mentioned above.
