Understanding Back Pain During Pregnancy: Causes & Relief
QuestionHello-I have asked many questions to you before. Thank you for all your help. My current problem is: My husband and i have been been trying to conceive for a few months. I have used OPK's to determine ovulation and never had a positive result. I bought an ovulite saliva monitor, where you lick a lens and then look for a fern pattern under a microscope.I had a definite fern pattern and my husband and I had intercourse during all the days that a fern pattern was present. The first day of my last period was July 9th. I have taken a few pg. tests that were 20 mui, but no + result yet. I have been very sick, with warm tingly breasts, headache, bloody nose, and backache. I am just wondering if its a type of flu, or if i might be pregnant. The main symptom that is really bothering me is the backache, it keeps me up all night. Whats your opinion?
AnswerThe earliest symptoms of pregnancy are breast tenderness, nausea, and fatigue. Back ache is not a symptoms of pregnancy, although later on in pregnancy you certainly will get lower back ache. If your last period started on July 9, then you probably ovulated on July 22 and could have conceived if you had unprotected sex on July 21,22,23, or 24. If you did become pregnant, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until 14-21 days after conception. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after you miss your next period. If your last period strted on July 9, then you were due for your next period on August 5. The best time to take a pregnancy test would be after August 12. Good luck.
