Postinor 2 Effectiveness & Delayed Period: What You Need to Know

Question
Hi. I had my last period on 15 Nov. So on the 23th Nov, I had protected sex using postinor 2. A week later, I started bleeding for 4 days and most of the pads are half soaked. Does that mean the pill is effective of prevent my pregnancy ? My December period is due on 16th December but I haven't had my menses nor felt any symptoms such as breast tender, abdomal pain and so forth. Will my period delay to next month?

Answer
From what I am reading, Postinor 2 is a morning after pill and should not be used commonly after sex to prevent pregnancy. Most morning after pills, or abortion pills contain hormones and maybe at a high level. This could be dangerous to your body and health. I can't tell you what happened and if you are pregnant. You will eventually develop pregnancy symptoms or have your period. If you want to have a pregnancy test, you can get a FREE test at a local pregnancy resource center. To find a center near you, go to one of these websites http://www.optionline.org or http://www.heartbeatservices.org and click on the worldwide directory.
