Fetal Movement Concerns at 22 Weeks: Is It Normal?
QuestionI am 22 almost 23 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child in 3 years. I haven't felt any real movments from the baby yet. With my other two, they were SO active I could feel them by 18 weeks. Could there be something wrong. The heart beats have been very good at my appointments, in the high 140's and my ultra sound was good at 18 weeks. They just said the baby was a little small nothing to worry about. But now that I am almost 23 weeks and still haven't felt movment, I'm a little conserned! Thanks for your help.
AnswerBy 22 weeks you should feel some movement. It may be rolling or kicking. If you do not feel ANY movement, let your doctor know and get another sonogram to see if all is well. If the sonogram shows a good FH and there is no problem, you need not worry. The baby has periods of sleep/wake cycle so you have to lie down and place your hands on your belly and see how long it takes to feel movement. YOu should feel some movement within a 10 hour period.
