QuestionI am about 17 weeks along, and I am 34 years old. This is my first pregnancy, so I feel like I am over-reacting to everything. In my first trimester I had all the symptoms, and now I have none. I was told the morning sickness would pass, but the breast pain, the constant hunger etc? I just don't FEEL like I'm pregnant anymore. Is that normal?
AnswerMorning sickness usually disappears by 15 weeks gestational age. However, you will not feel fetal movement until 22 weeks gestational age. If you suddenly stopped "feeling pregnant" go to your doctor and listen to the fetal heartbeat. If you hear a good fetal heartbeat, you have nothing to worry about. If, after 24 weeks you do not feel fetal movement at least once per day, you should get a non stress test to assess the fetus. However, at this time, there is usually nothing to worry about.
