Early Ovulation at 28: Is It Normal? - Fertility & Cycle Support
QuestionHello, I am 28 years old and my husband and I have been TTC #1 for 3 years now. It has taken almost a year after going off the pill to get back to my normal 28 day cycle. My first day of my last period was September 3rd and using my fertility monitor it shows me ovulating on day 11-12. Is this normal? My monitor usually shows me on 14-15. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
AnswerIf you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation usually occurs on cycle day #14. You can conceive if you have sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. You may have your LH surge (as shown by the fertility monitor) a day or two earlier. I would start concentrating intercourse starting on cycle day #12 and then every other day until cycle day #16.
