Possible Pregnancy Symptoms After Period: What Could It Be?

Question
I am 21, I have one 2 year old child and I just ended a period that started on October 16th. The problem is I feel really pregnant. I feel just like i did when i was pregnant with my son. My back and legs ache, I have heartburn all the time, I get headaches more frequently and I am salivating a lot more. I never had morning sickness last pregnancy until about 3 months along... and i dont have that symptom yet. But I just had a period. I am too much of a weenie to go buy a pregnancy test from target yet, and I just want to know how likely it is to have a normal period in the first trimester. I think if I am, I would only be 4 1/2 weeks along. I also never cramped at all in the week before my period, and I always have really bad cramping. please give me some direction in this, so that way i can know whether to go get a test, or to wait until i see if i get another period. Thanks so much

Answer
If you had a period on October 16, you are not pregnant. However, if it was not a period, but merely some light staining, a pregnancy test will let you know if you are pregnant. The earliest symptoms of pregnancy are breast tenderness, nausea, and fatigue. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after MISSING a period. However, by now, if the pregnancy test is negative, you are not pregnant.
