Questiondear Brenda,
is it possible to be pregnant and still have your period the first month? i have heard that if you have sex really close to the time you are supposed you may still have it. is this a myth or is this actually true? my period is usually between 24 and 28 days apart, but this time my period came as early as 22 days apart from my last one. my husband and i made love everyday between 10/24-10/29 (hes in the military and we were short on time lol) i just got my period 6 days early and i was just wondering what are the chances that i am pregnant?
AnswerYes, it is possible to have a "period", or some bleeding, the first month of a pregnancy.
Many things could have caused the change of a few days in your cycle. Change in physical activity (LOL) or diet, weight gain or loss, or extra stress can alter your cycles. It is not abnormal for cycles to vary in length from month to month. "Normal" cycle range is considered 21-35 days.
I would wait to see what happens. It may have been a normal variance in your cycle. But if you were having a lot of unprotected sex, you may also be pregnant. A home pregnancy test may or may not be conclusive this early. You really need to wait until you are actually late with a period for a HPT to be most accurate.
As for your chances of being pregnant... your most fertile days would typically be the 11th-21st days of your cycle (day 1 being the 1st day of your LMP). If that's when you were having a lot of unprotected sex...chances are pretty good.
I hope I've helped! Good Luck!! And thank your husband for his service. (to our country) :-)
