Pregnancy Chances with Yellowish Vaginal Discharge: A Medical Perspective
QuestionHi, I am 29years old. I have one daughter who is 4 yrs. old. The date of the first day of my last period was Oct. 3. My question is: my husband and I are trying to conceive. Will mostly white with a yellowish tinge discharge stop me from getting pregnant? The discharge is pretty thick(just in the last week) I have a little bit of pain down in the lower abdomen and the discharge has just a slight odor. I know I need to make an appoint., but in the meantime, can I still get pregnant? This is the 2nd month of trying. Thank you
AnswerA discharge (even if it caused by an infection) will not interfere with conception. It may be a yeast infection , a bacterial infection, or may be entirely normal. There is no reason to refrain from trying to conceive due to the discharge. I would suggest that you have a gynecologist evaluate the discharge and treat it if necessary.
