Infertility Concerns: 9 Months Trying to Conceive - Seeking Expert Advice

Question
Hi Dr,

I am 27 years and my husband is 30years old. we are married for 3.9 years and trying to conceive from 9 months without luck, my periods are normal and it is 28-30 days cycle. we both are healthy. we are having intercourse on the fertile days but still nothing is working, we are trying the missionary position as it is the best position to conceive, and also placing the pillow under hips to make the flow easy for the sperms, we are also having healthy food.

i get back pain, leg pain and stomach pain during periods so i use to take pills which was named baralgun for 3 years and cataspa for 7 years, 1 pill on the 1st day of my period, now i feel that is effecting my pregnancy.

i also notice that the blood flow in my periods are reducing to 2 days from 4 days flow, am pretty much worried if all this can effect my pregnancy.

pls suggest if the pill is effecting and also some tips to conceive fast and also let me know if i should take any pills to increase the chances of pregnancy, it is really a long wait for us.

Answer
Baralgun does not affect the chances of pregnancy and unfortunately there are no pills which will help you in getting pregnant soon. Therefore the only option is to keep trying. If even after one full year of trying, you are unable to conceive then investigating for infertility is a prudent option.
