Understanding Pink Discharge: Causes & What to Watch For

hi! I'm Patty and I'm 27 years old.hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 3 months. Last month I thought I was pregnant since I had so many pregnancy symptoms and took hpt but it came out negative.After that I called my doctor to book an appointment but  I got my period so I didn't go.I got my period 6 days earlier and it was heavy!At first I had brown discharge and the next morning it was heavy.My period lasts 5 days but last month it lasted 5 and then I had brown discharge and a bit of spotting for 2 days.Then nothing for 2 days and then for another 2 days I`m having pinkish discharge.
I have 2 questions: 1)do you think I had a chemical pregnancy last month?
2)What is the discharge I`m having now?

Yes. It seems that you had a chemical pregnancy. You think you had your period 6 days earlier. Actually this seems to be bleeding due to early miscarriage. The continued discharge is a usual occurrence in this case to empty your uterus from the remnants of pregnancy.Your next period should come in its usual time with no brown/pinkish discharge. If you do not get your period in time or continued to have this kind of discharge, I recommend vaginal ultrasound for proper diagnosis.
