Pregnancy Discharge: Understanding Normal Mucus

I am 11 weeks pregnant with my first child. I noticed some strange discharge today. It was almost like gelatin and all clear and no odor. I have never had discharge like that and was wondering if it was normal or something I need to be worried about.

A mucoid discharge as you are having is totally normal in pregnancy. This is due to the increased blood flow to the pelvic and vaginal tissue which causes increased secretion. Any secretion which is not itchy or foul smelling is normal during pregnancy.
