Hormone Imbalances and Thyroid Function: Exploring the Connection

Question
hi -i am 29  and have no children.Id like to know if a hormone imbalance of estrogen, testosterone or dhea can affect your thyroid without giving you a thyroid disorder?Thank you

Answer
If you have problems with your thyroid due to any cause, you definitely have a thyroid disorder. Imbalance of estrogen and progesterone can be due to a thyroid disorder, however, it can also be due to many other factors (Ovarian dysfuncion, pituitary gland disfunction, hypothalamic problem, etc,) Whenever we see an imbalance in hormones, we check the thyroid status, as well.
