Hypothyroidism Symptoms: Persistent Fatigue & Concerns - What to Do?

Question
Hi, about 8 months ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Tsh at that time was a 9 and now it is 2.5 and was told that it was stable.  I recently went back for my visit and told my Dr that I still do not feel good, tired and exhausted all the time, hair falling out still, still gaining a little weight and not losing it, I am tired all day and cannot sleep at night. Recently I've notice while laying that my muscles twitch a lot. I have no other medical problems and I was told to just come back in 6 months because despite all of my symptoms, he feels the levels are fine and the dose needs no adjusting.  My questions are,  what is a normal tsh level? And is everyone's "normal" tsh different? Is it possible that my particular levels need to be a little lower and that's why I'm not feeling many changes?
(15 mg of armour thyroid)

I appreciate your time

Answer
I tend to replace thyroid hormone until the TSH is between 0.5 and 1.5, even tho the limits go up to 4.5.

Also, I don't like using armour thyroid.... it is a little harder to fine tune the dosing and there is no advantage to using it.

Good luck with it.....
