QuestionIt ended up being another Period. I have all the symptoms of a period and yesterday I had heavy bleeding and had to use feminine protection. Today so far it is heavy and I don't think it is mid-cycle bleeding. But I already had my period this month and I am not sure what this is. Should I go see a doctor or could this be a symptom of the pill still?

Question -
I am 25, last menstrual cycle was Dec 2 to the 5th. I was on BCP from Nov 17th to the 27th, got off of them, and had a bleed through on Dec 2nd until the 5th. On dec 18th I started to spot and today Dec 19th, it is more red and less spotting. I may even of had to use a pad this morning. I was reading about light spotting during ovulation, but I have never experienced this before. I have never bled other than my period. I am not sure if this is implantation or ovulation signs. We have had sex on all the even days of this month besides the 10th. I am not suppose to get my period until the end of the month, but I feel in my stomach as though I am getting it now? What could be the reason?
Answer -
If your last period started on December 2, you would have ovulated around December 15 and the bleeding you had on December 18 could have merely been "mid cycle staining" or"ovulatory bleeding". Implantation occurs 8 days after conception so it is doubtful that that was implantation bleeding. YOu are due for your next period on December 29. If you do not get your period by January 5, take a pegnancy test and you will know for sure.
AnswerI would just keep a record of your bleeding. If you bleed longer than 14 days, call your doctor. If not, wait to see when you get your next period. This could, of course, be due to stopping the pill. Sometimes, it takes a few months for your cycle to get back to normal after stopping the pill.
