Early Pregnancy Concerns: Low Hormone Levels & Miscarriage Risk

Question
Hi Im about 9 weeks pregnant and i scheduled an appointment with my ob-gyn and they sent me for a blood test it came back possitive but they also told me that my hormones were at 7 when they should be around 25 is it possible for me to still have this baby or is  it a garenteed missicariage...help?

Answer
Miscarriage is never guaranteed to occur. Miscarriages occur in 15-20% of every pregnancy. There is nothing you can do to cause a miscarriage and there is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage,When was the first day of your last period?Any hormonal level less than 5 indicates a non pregnant state. As long as you are not bleeding with cramping, you probably have a viable pregnancy. I would repeat the pregnancy test twice, 48 hours apart. If there is a doulbing of the results in 48 hours, all is good. Be patient. Goood Luck
