Early Pregnancy Symptoms & Concerns: What Could It Be?
QuestionI am 25, 1 child, April 10. I didn't have a normal cycle. I usually have heavy periods that last 5 to 7 days. I had a period that was lighter than normal and it only lasted 2 days. My breasts were sore for 3 weeks before my cycle and they are still sore but not as bad. Of september of last year I had the same issue and it resulted in a miscarriage. I don't have insurance to see a doctor. I have taken pregnancy tests but they say negative. With my first child, it took me 6 weeks until the pregnancy showed positive. I have had several miscarriages since then the birth of my first child and couldn't afford medical attention. I was wondering if I could be pregnant, or is there a test that is very accurate and reads the hormone that is released sooner than most. Do you think that since I can't afford medical attention after I thought I had miscarraged that it could have created a problem? 2 of the miscarriages I would have missed a cycle and several weeks later I was passing clumps of blood and severe pain in lower back for several days. I would release most of the clots immediately and would still release a small amount over the next few days. The last miscarriage I think I had I had the same issues that I am having now. What would you advise me to do if medical attention is not an option?
AnswerThe besxt time to take a urine pregnancy test is seven days after you miss your period. If you had a period on April 10 (even if it appeared light) the best time to take a pregnancy test is if you do not get your period by May 14. A blood test for pregnancy may show a positive result by 10 days after conception. I do not know what else you can do at this time.
