Just wanting to know I'm 40Days today and still neg preg test and no period, But i have a gel like discharge odorless ( like around ovulation time)could this be a sign of something. ( If not pregnacy but illness).

Question -
I get my period very 36 to 40 days last month on the 23rd June (30days), have been tring to concive for 10mths this month I don't even fill like I'm going to get them have done a pregnacy test neg on the 27th July (35days). could i be pregnate, when do i repeat the test and when do i ovulate.
with my 1st child i took the test at 36days and i showed a very low reding of 145hCG could i be the same this time?

you certainly could be pregnant and have a low HcG level.

With such a long cycle, it would be hard to tell when you ovulate. Usually ovulation happens 10-14 days after the first day of the last period, but with such a long cycle it is probably later than that.  Have you tried one of the home-ovulation detector tests?

I would repeat your test in a few days, give the Hcg level time to rise enough for the test to pick up... the home tests usually pick up at a level of about 100. A doctors office urine test picks up about 25 and a blood test picks up any level of HcG.

I do not think it would be illness.

I'd go to the doctor for a blood test (quantitative Beta Hcg) this will tell you the level of Hcg in your blood and confirm a pregnancy or not.  I still think you could be pregnant and have a low production of Hcg, but you need to have the blood test to verify this.  Make sure it is QUANtitative, this tells you a level of Hcg, and not QUALitative because this will just say "yes or no."
