Missed Period & Birth Control: Possible Pregnancy?

Hello, my girlfriend and I have been having sex with a condom every time without it popping, she is also on the pill but has missed a day and double up the next day. This has happened twice and now she is, as of today two days late on her period. Could the birth control have anything to do with this?

Your girlfriend can get pregnant even with using condoms or birth control pills. No birth control method is 100% safe in preventing pregnancy. Also, the hormonal change from missing pills and doubling up could affect her period. So what has happened since you sent me the question? Did she end up having a period? Let me know.
