Post-D&C Period Concerns: What to Expect After a Miscarriage

I am 28 years old and have one child, 3 Dec 05 was last period.  I found out I was pregnant in Jan 06. An ultrasound in March showed that I had miscarried. I had a D&C on March 14 and bleed for only three days.  I have not had a period since then.  It's now been eight weeks and I am getting concerned that I have started.  I have taken a home pregnancy test and it is negative. Do you have any ideas about what could be going on?  Should I call my DR. or just wait?

If it is more than 8 weeks since the D&C, and have not gotten your period, I would suggest that  you call your doctor and have your period induced with Provera 10mg twice a day for five days and you should start your period within 10 days. Don't worry.
