QuestionI am getting married at the end of August and I am due to get my period right when my honeymoon starts. I have been on "Alesse" Oral Contraceptives for 8 years. I have never missed a period before and I am really wanting to delay the onset of my period for a week but I am not sure how to do it.
Should I wait an extra week before I start taking my pill again after my next period, or should I just start my pills as soon as this months menstral cycle starts? Any suggestions?
thanks!

AnswerTo delay your period, start the Alesse at the normal time. Then take every pill until pill #21. Then, the next day, start a new pack. Do not take the seven placebo pills. You cantinue this until you want to get your period. When you want to get your period, just stop the pills. You should start bleeding within a few days.
