Clomid Ovulation Experience: Follicle Disappearance & Timing

this was my first month on 50 mg clomid and had very regular follow up
tests with my ob/gyn...had a follicle matured to the right size
from cd15 - 17 and when i went in for my next u/s on cd 19 the
follicle had disappeared! does it mean tht i ovulated?DH
and i BD'd on cd16 and cd17...would the sperm have stayed alive
if i ovulated on cd 18?...should i do a progesterone tets at cd 24 and what sdould be the normal level...i desperately
am hoping tht this med works for me...

You did not tell me the first day of your last period, so I can't comment on what is going on. However, if you did ovulate on cd 17-19, you may have ovulated. If so and you miss your next period, you may have conceived. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your period. You are due for your period on  cd 31 and you should take a pregnancy test after cycle day 38. If you ovulated on cd 18, and since sperm can live for 24-48 hours, you could have conceived if you had sex on 17,18,19, or 20.
