Understanding Early Beta hCG Levels After IVF - What Do They Mean?

Question

Last period May/18/2006.Had IVF retrieval on May/28/2006. Two embryos transfered back on May/31/2006. Had a Beta HCG test on June/11/2006-results about 220. Repeated the test on June/13/2006-only 330. On June 19-third test-only 440. Noone is giving me an answer to the quetion "what thas that mean". Another test scheduled for June 21. Please help.

If your last period started on May 18, ovulation should ahve occurred on May 31, and it was a good time for transfer of the two embryos. The best time for a Beat HCG (blood test) is 14-21 days after conception. Your pregnancy  test should have been taken on June 14.  It seems to be rising, although not doubling. The best time to take a pregnancy test is 7 days after missing your period . By June 21 it should be start to double every other day. If not, repeat the sonogram and see what it shows.
