Understanding hCG Levels After Miscarriage: Is It a New Pregnancy?

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. After 4 weeks, my hcg level was 28. One week later, my period came and was normal for 6 days.  One day after my period ended, my hcg level was 11.  Is it possible to get a period before the hcg tests below 5?  Is it possible, I could be pregnant again?

Usually hCG level returns back to non pregnant state in 4 weeks. Pregnancy at a level of 11 is not a possibility. The reassuring thing is that the level is declining from 28 to 11. I would recommend a repeat hCG after 2 more weeks. A rising level at that time should should prompt further investigation.
