Early Pregnancy Test: Accuracy and What to Do If Negative
QuestionI had my period on May 31, 2006 and now it is July 3, 2006 and i have taken a pregnancy test that showed negitive. I have always been on time and never missed a period before. Although, i usually start around every 24 to 26 days. Been like this since i was a teenager now i am 27. Could I be pregnant and i am testing to soon, or something else could be wrong. I have been trying to conceive for around 5 years now with no luck. Any advice or recommendations would help me. Tell me what you think is going on. Thank you in advance
AnswerIc your last period started on May 31, and you hve a 22-26 day cycoe, ovulation would have been on cycle day #12. Therefore you could have conceived on June 11. The best time for a pregnancy test is 7 days after missing your perid. If you don't get your period seven days afer your expected period of July , take a pregnancy test. You are due for a period by June 26 , count an additional seven days and do a pregnancy test on July 5.
