Copper IUD: Post-Insertion Pain, Heavy Bleeding & Clots - Is This Normal?

i had a coil put in last tue i was on last day of period and was only spoting i have had coils in before but this 1 really hurt and since it been in the bleeding has got really heavy and some clots have been there to i have had stomach pains to not very bad pains but uncomfy i had a baby 7wks ago and have had a accident with condoms but i came on period so thought i was ok could i be having miscarrige or is this normal as i never bleed with the other 2 coils i had in

Congratulations on your baby! You and I must have delivered around the same time. I gave birth to my surrogate babygirl on June 6th.

I too am having the same exact problem, I dont think it has to do with the coil but rather your cycle trying to get itself back on track. It is not pregnancy or miscarraige, I do not think you have to worry about either one right now.  It is just something from the pregnancy and your body trying to be normal again.

You should  of course check with your doctor but I think it is all normal and fine and just to be expected this soon after having the baby.
