HELLOMY QUESTION IS  I HAVENT GOT MY PERIOD FOR EXACTLY A WEEK. BUT MY OVARIES HURT I MAY THINK. AND IM WAITING TILL I GE TMY PERIOD BUT I STIL HAVENT.. AM I PREGNANT ..WHAT DO THOSE PAINS MEAN

Hi Alexis  ..

The pains could be a few things. It could just be the period coming ..Your period might just be late.

It also, could be implantation, when the fertilized egg, implants itself into the uterine lining. Cramping is associated with this, all though its mild. It does feel like a "period" cramp.

There are other reasons ..cysts, endometreosis ..a multitude of things, all though its probably unlikely.

The only way to know whats exactly going on with your cycle, is to do a pregnancy test. You are a week late, so you would most definately get an accurate reading if you were to do one.

If its a negative result, I suggest visiting your doctor, so you can have it further investigated, and have a Beta HCG test done to measure the pregnancy hormone. Its about as accurate as it gets. If that comes out negative ..then your doctor will then advise you on what he/she thinks is the next step.
