QuestionHi I am 24, this is my first child, and the first day of my last period was
12/24/2005.
I was on the shot for a year. My shot wore off in Aug of 2005 and I started
noticing cramping randomly in my abdomen area after I got off the shot. I
scheduled a pap-smear in October and the gynocologist told me I was fine and
that was ovulation cramps, something I had never noticed before.
I started paying more attention to my periods then because she told me 2 weeks
after I feel the cramps I would probably start my period and I did. So for the
months of October, November and December I had a regular 28 day period, all of
them starting every Saturday in the morning on the dot.
When my period did not come in the morning on Jan 21st, I took a pregnancy test
around 11pm that night which came out positive. The only problem is there are
two diffent people that could be the father. In the week in question, I know for
sure I had sex with my boyfriend on Jan 2nd. I m I went out of town to see
another guy on Jan 6th and we had sex that night (at 1 am in the morning so Jan
7th) and Jan 8th and I went home on Jan 8th. Also, the out of town guy pulled out every time that weekend, but my boyfriend didnt pull out at all while we together, and we didnt use protection. I did not have sex again until Jan
11th with my boyfriend. The reason I put the information about me cramping during ovulation is
because I do remember cramping on a Saturday prior to the month of January, but
in month of January I do remember not getting these cramps at all. Also, something that might be helpful, me and my boyfriend were talking about getting married this august, so in november 05, i used a urine ovulation kit. When i used it, i remember the surge started rise on thursday of the second week (saturday of that week would have been 14 days since my period), and since my period came on a 28th day, (a saturday) october, november and december on the dot, that's why i think i ovulate on or close to a saturday. I wanted the out of town guy to take a private dna test that i told him i would pay for the whole thing, but now he's refusing to take it because he says i just "want" the baby to his, when im really trying to go by the dates. plus, i no longer talk to my boyfriend because he physically assualted me at the end of january, and i had to call the police on him, and havent talked to him since.
Please let me know if you could help me figure out who it may be.

congratulations on your pregnancy! But I am also sorry that you have all of this stress going on with your ex and the out of town guy. It must be stressful for you.
Ovulation usually occurs about 10-14 days after the first day of last period. So you are looking at a probable ovulation of January 2-6th...
So, it could really be either man... but considering that the out of town guy pulled out... this doesnt mean he CANT be the father, he certainly could still be, because it is very common for pre-ejaculation to occur- which contains sperm.
Honestly, it could be either guy. Statistically, your ex has the better chance of being the father, but the out of town man cannot be ruled out. I am not sure what state you are in but I wonder if there are laws that can force him to take a DNA test?
I certainly hope that if you ever see your ex again for any reason, that he treats you well; you deserve to be treated with respect.
So... I know this hasnt been much help, but really, the dates are so close, it is too difficult to tell without the DNA. Would your Ex submit to the test, and if it wasnt him you'd know for sure that it was the other man?
