QuestionIs this common? My doctor wants me to try 100mg Clomid for 10 days. CD's 3-12.
Here's my history:
I got pregnant with my son using Clomid. I did 50mg, 100mg, 150mg and didn't Ovulate. Then i did 200mg..i ovulated but didn't get pregnant. I did another cycle of 200mg and i ovulated and got pregnant. (I also took 1700mg Met. I have PCOS)
Now i'm ttc#2...i did a cycle with 200mg clomid..i didn't Ovulate, i did 250mg...i didn't ovulate. So now my doc wants to try the 100mg Clomid for 10 days. With maybe an HCG shot if my follicules are at a nice size. (we never did this before)
I am also taking the 1700mg Met.
Have you hear of the 100mg for 10 days? what do you think?
thanks!
AnswerHi Ariel :)
The dosage of Clomid that you have been prescribed, is very common. So no worries. 100mg for 10 days in prescribed quite often to many women.
The only thing I can tell you, is, few do get pregnant the first time around while taking this dose.
There are great success rates, the 2nd and 3rd time around.
You will have a sonogram before taking the HCG shot, to make sure your follicles are of size ..And if the Doctor decides to its okay to give you the shot ..make sure you talk to him about taking progesterone. I dont know, if you have a history of misscarriage, but progesterome would be a preventive measure in the event you do get pregnant, to keep the embryo was miscarrying.
Hope this answers your question, and Good luck :)
