QuestionI started to have a misscarrige on September 10th 2006. This is my 3rd one. It is now October 13th and I have not stopped bleeding yet. It almost completely stopped and then began again last Tuesday. today, I am filling the toilet bowl with blood. I am having severe cramping and clots. What are the signs of hemorriging?
AnswerHi Joanna ...
I am so sorry to hear about your loss ...
The signs of a hemmorage are as follows.
If you are completely saturating more then 8 pads, or tampons a day, and if you are passing blood clots for 8-9 hours, then this is a sign of hemmorage. If the bleeding, is litrally running out of you, for example, You undress to go in the shower, and in that small time frame the blood is gushing, and or running down your legs cosistantly, then you need to get medical attention immediately.
If you are feeling weak, light headed, when you stand up, or change position, this is also indication that your bleeding is severe.
If you are passing blood clots, larger then a quater, this is also a sign.
If you have swelling and pain in tissues in the vaginal and perineal area , this is also a symptom.
Your bleeding sounds quite severe Joanna, If you are starting to feel dizzy, and weak, you need to see a doctor immediately. Even if you're not, You shouldnt be bleeding heavily at all at this point after your miscarriage.
Please have yourself examined, this could be potentially serious.
If you have any more concerns, please dont hesitate to write back.
Thanks for writing ..and Good luck.
