Post-Abortion Bleeding: What to Expect & When to Worry

hello doctor,

i had an abortion around 2 weeks ago , i did not bleed for around 3 days i participated in quite physical activity walking up and down for quite a few hours after this i went to sleep and woke up bleeding quite heavily and i have been bleeding 4 days since this? not so heavy now but its brownish and sometimes a little bit of red blood not a lot.. should i be worried ?

Yes, I am always concerned when a woman has irregular bleeding after an abortion. Have you had a post abortion checkup yet? You are usually advised to have that about 2 weeks after your abortion.
