Questionhi my name is diana and i am almost sure i am pregnant all the signs and symptom are there but all my tests are coming back negative to make it worse i woke up to some bleeding this morning went to the ER and i really need some help or advice
AnswerDear Diana,
First, I want to apologize for the delay in answering (PC troubles)...
The symptoms which are associated with early pregnancy are hormonal in nature, which is why it is so difficult to "diagnose" a pregnancy based on symptoms alone. You did not note when your last menstrual period was and whether or not you are late for the next period as of yet. Pregnancy tests are usually not completely accurate until approximately three weeks after conception occurs. My recommendation is that women test for pregnancy the week after a missed or spotty period to reduce the incidence of false negative results.
If you have not yet missed your next period, it would have been too early for a pregnancy test to be accurate. If you have missed a period, and you continue to have negative results (even if using 1st morning urine to get a concentrated sample), then I would suspect that you may be experiencing symptoms related to hormonal fluctuations within your cycle which are also causing issues with your menses.
The general recommendation is that if you miss three consecutive periods and test negative for pregnancy, you should see your doctor so that a cause can be determined.
I hope this information has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well.
