QuestionI was recently at my OBGYN but too embarrassed to ask this. Recently, while intoxicated and having sex, my husband actually urinated inside my vagina. Strangely, it felt pleasant and we have done this activity a few times since. I am wondering what health risks are associated with this practice, as I have urine is sterile. How great are the risks, if any? Thank you very much.
AnswerDear Karen,
There would not necessarily be any serious health risks. Urine is "sterile", however if he would happen to acquire a urinary tract infection, this would obviously pass the bacteria into your uterus. It may also change the delicate pH balance of your reproductive tract, which serves to prevent vaginal infections, etc,...
I don't know that I'd recommend it on a regular basis for those reasons, but as an occasional alternate activity it probably would not hurt anything.
I hope that helps and answers your question. I wish you well!
