QuestionI stopped taking my birth control in may because me and my husband wanted a baby, but i have not started my period yet, i went to the doctor and they gave me provera 10mg for 5 days, what do i do after i have this period from the medication, will i be able to get pregnant because we have been trying but it hasn't worked since i haven't had a period, also how long after i finish the pills can i have unprotected sex. please help.....
AnswerDear Ashley,
Ideally, the Provera will stimulate a period. You can get your period anytime after starting the Provera, but the average is 3-7 days. I would recommend that you start having sex every other day approximately ten days after starting the period and continue for approximately two weeks to allow for any variation in an ovulation day. This first cycle may not have a predictable ovulation day, so I would be having sex at least every three days until the following period is due to begin.
I hope this has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well and fantastic results.
