Irregular Period: What to Do When Your Period Is Shorter Than Usual

I started my period about 3-4 days ago. I usually
have a period for a ful 7 days. my period stopped short and  it worries me. I have heard that you can have your period and still be pregnant. But that it is usually shorter. I'm not necassarly worried that I'm pregnant, butI'm still worried that something else might be wrong. Can you offer any advice?

As long as you got your period, it does not matter if it is shorter than usual or not. As long as it does not last for longer than 14 days at a time, you need not worry. I have many patients who get their periods for  one hour each month and are very happy about that. This does not cause any problems. If you do get your period, you are not pregnant.
