Inducing Labor Naturally at 37 Weeks: What Works & What Doesn't

Question
I am 37 weeks almost 38weeks the doctor told me at 36weeks that it would be in the next two weeks. Should I try the walking and the other things to help it along? I have also heard take a bumpy ride is that bad for me or the baby.

Answer
It's a myth that walking will induce labor. When you body is ready, then labor will start. A bumpy ride is not a good idea at any time in pregnancy.

If you've been walking regularly throughout your pregnancy, then you can continue as long as you are comfortable doing so. Many women in the last few weeks feel so awkward and cumbersome that even walking is no longer comfortable.  Gentle stretches for the lower back, hips, neck, and shoulders can help ease discomfort.
