Intense Fetal Movement in Late Pregnancy: Is It Normal?

I am 40 weeks pregnant and due tomorrow. For the past week or so when I am relaxing or lying down to go to bed, my baby suddenly begins moving very rigorously making my belly like an aliens movie and pushing down with great force on my cervix while using my ribs as leverage. Is this something to be worried about?

Hi Amanda,

It is completely normal to be feeling what you are feeling.  The space is getting really small in there and your baby is simply out of room to move.  So, you are almost there and it won't be much longer and you will have your body back.  Good luck and congratulations in advance!
