QuestionI would like to know if i can still play softball and to what month should I stop?
AnswerAll competitive sports, where there is a risk of collision, or being hit by an object are not recommended for pregnancy. If you're on a social team, where women will go easy on you, then you can continue for another 6 weeks or so. When your tummy pops out, you'll notice that you wouldn't be able to move as quickly. But if you are on a competitive community team, or college team, then you should stop right away. The risk of the placenta dislodging from the uterus is too great in a big collision.
But you can remain fit and active. Power walking, elliptical training, treadmill, recumbent bike, most strength training exercises that utilize cables, free weight exercises, yoga, swimming and water aerobics are all good alternatives.
