Pouch of Douglas Fluid & Conflicting Pregnancy Tests: What Does It Mean?

im a 22year old woman who has been married for half a year, a few months ago i took an instant pregnancy test and it came out positive but js recently i went for an ultrasound and they said i was not pregnant instead i have fluid building in my pouch of douglas.is the fluid dangerous and how could i have tested positive for a baby if i was not pregnant.

The fluid in the pouch of douglas is not dangerous but can cause you discomfort if there is more than a small amount.  Did you explain to them your concerns about the pregnancy test?  You said it was positive a few months ago but have you taken a recent test?  It is possible to be pregnant but have a very early miscarriage, so early that some do not realize they were pregnant when they bleed right around the time their next menstrual cycle is due.  It is called a chemical pregnancy and is is fairly common.  I suggest you call your doctor's office and make sure you have gotten a recent pregnancy test.
