Pregnancy with IUD: Risks and Removal During Pregnancy

So I took a pregnancy test today and I am pregnant, but i am concerned because I still have a IUD in place. I can feel the tip of the IUD so I know it is not in the right place, but I couldn't feel it till recently. Does this mean there's less of a risk of miscarriage during removal?

Your gynecologist may be able to remove it under sonographic guidance depending on the the position of IUD in relation to the growing embryo. Also, some types of IUDs are not harmful to pregnancy. Examination is a must for the proper decision.
