AnswerDear Kayla,
If you had a normal period at the time you expected to, around 5/10/10, and then now you are experiencing some mid-cycle bleeding as well, I would suspect that you are not pregnant. The symptoms you describe are hormonal in nature and can also be related to hormone fluctuations or surges within your cycle. That is why it so difficult to "diagnose" a pregnancy based on symptoms alone.
I would suggest that you wait it through this cycle and the next. It sounds like maybe your body is trying to get itself regulated into a normal cyclic hormonal pattern. This often happens when women have recently come off hormonal birth control. If you are wanting to conceive a pregnancy, that is great, but simply give it less attention. :) Go with the flow - so to speak and just have sex every few days and see what happens. The thing is, we want our body to be in an ideal condition to accept a pregnancy when it happens, so letting it get regulated is really the best thing. If you continue to experience irregular bleeding throughout the next 2-3 cycles, go ahead and consult with your doctor who may then want to intervene with treatment to regulate your cycles.
I hope this has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well.
