Question"Hello, thanks for your input on the following. I had a D&C on Dec. 23, 2008, for a missed miscarriage.It's been approx. 8 months since my miscarriage and have been very irregular since. I had a bit a of a delay in getting my period, so my OBGYN prescribed Procheive 4% Gel. Soon after I finally got my af 12 weeks post D&C, but it was very light. The following three menses were normal flow, but irregular in scheduling; first cycle was 22 days, second was 29 days third was 35 days, fourth was 22 days and the fifth was 29 days ...on cycles four and five my flow was very very light lasting 6 days each. I am a bit concerned, as I was very regular prior to the D&C, and researching internet discussion boards has made my fears worse... Does this sound like Asherman's or simply a hormonal imbalance? To be honest, it could be both.
It's not unusual to experience irregular periods after miscarriage, but yours has gone on for a little too long.
I'm not medically qualified and think you need a professional diagnosis, so I suggest going back to see your doctor. That way they can fully investigate what is going on.
It may be that you simply need some medication to regulate yourself, if this doesn't work then they can have a look at other ways of seeing what the problem is.
