Brown & Pink Mucus During Cycle: Causes & What to Watch For

I am from Texas
I am 27 years old and my menstrual cycles range from 42 days to 46 days, menses last 4 days...this cycle started 8/29/11, on cycle day 15 i wiped and found brown/red tinged eggwhite mucus one time in the afternoon. On cycle day 34 i wiped in the morning and found brown/pink mucous, it has continued and today would be the 4th day and i only find it when i wipe. I only had cramps on the first day of "spotting" which was day 34, My Basal body temp. for these days are 96.7,96.4,96.8,97.00. Do i need to go to the doctor? I have never had mid cycle spotting.

I am not too concerned with this discharge/spotting but more concerned about the length of your cycles.  They are too long which means that there is some abnormality with your ovarian function.  I would recommend seeing a Gynecologist to check that out.  There are other causes of spotting such as polyps, tumors, thickened endometrial lining, uterine cancer and vaginal lesions as well so an examination would be warranted.
