Small Lump on Child's Jawline: What Could It Be?

Hello, I just found a small, hard , round lump on my daughter's jawline. it moves slightly when touched and hurts her when it's pressed.  There is no external bruising. can you tell me if this could be serious?

Since it is only one, it is most likely simply a lymph node, which is a small infection fighting organ.  These are situated all over the body, with more in the head and neck.  They come and go with colds and coughs.  If you simply observe it, it will go away in about 2 weeks.
