UTI vs. Bacterial Vaginosis During Pregnancy: Symptoms & Diagnosis

Question
I am 20 wks pregnant and after having bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection I am now experiencing what seems to be a bladder infection.  I am having pain in my urethra and burning when I urinate and feel that I need to urinate constantly.  Could it be a bladder infection or the BV returning?

Answer
It sounds like a regular urinary tract infection. Take a culture and sensitivity of your urine and you will know for sure. If you have more than 100,000 colonies on a urine culture, you will be treated with antibiotics. (Then, of course, you may develop a yeast infection). Good luck.
