Question Our friend has: Purple feet, mottled dark pink towards her
ankles and part way up her leg. Her left arm is stiff and she can
barely use her right hand. Can you tell us what it could be? She

I really can't guess except to say this is very serious and is an obvious sign of compromised circulation and could even be a potentially life-threatening conditon.
There's no point listing all the possible diagnoses as she really needs to be assessed by a physician for an accuruate diagnosis - if she refuses to go, then you have to respect her right to live at risk and possible die from a perfectly preventable condition.
