Question
Thank you.  Also, do you know how serious this is and what may have caused it?

Question -
I am eighteen years old, and I got my first period when I was twelve.  I have had relatively regular periods with a heavy flow for the past few years.  However, for the past week and a half (roughly around when my period should be coming), I have noticed brown spotting or gotten a very very light period. What is this and should I be concerned?

Answer -
Could be missed ovulation cycle or even an infection so call your doctor

Answer
This usually comes from eating too much of the following:;
Chicken, turkey, peanuts, peanut butter, chips of any kind, flax in any form and too much soy.

These foods contain excessive amounts of  omega-6 plant oil when your body requires more omega-3 animal oil as in fish oil. The attached web sites teach you a lot about what is causing this and how to get better once you are sure it is not an infection.

The list below the omega 3, B complex and vit E are likely to help you the most if you are not able to take all. You should ask your doctor to be sure they agree.

Ask your doctor but this is what I use for my patients:
1) Fish oil 3000mg (900 mg EPA/DHA) just before each meal and at bedtime
2) High Potency B complex, (B-100) just before each meal
3) Magnesium oxide 250 mg before just each meal and at bedtime
4) Calcium carbonate with Vit D at dinner and bedtime
5) Vit C 500 mg just before each meal
6) Vit E 400 IU twice a day
7) Cinnamon 1/4 tsp in food just before each meal if over weight
