Persistent Heavy Periods After Essure: Causes & Solutions

I had the essure done last june, and started having really long periods after so they put me on birth control and it worked for a while, but it stopped working I've been on my period for almost 2 months now ( with a day or two breaks ) my obgyn just keeps running tests and coming up empty! what could cause this?

some people may have to increase the strength of the birth control pills because of breakthrough bleeding.... they have become such low dose pills that some people don't tolerate them as well.... sometimes going up to ortho novum 1:35 or up to 1:50 works.......
